Good to know

One of my favorite things about Kansas City are its old glorious buildings - which is why I fell in love with this 1900 Victorian charmer. This home has seen a lot in it's 100+ years, including being converted into 4 separate apartments. Your Cozy Midcentury 2 bedroom is on the 3rd floor. Once you enter the space, you get to smile and settle in - you're in your home away from home. Welcome & relax. I've scoured every antique store in the state to create an authentic mid-century space - focused on peace & comfort. Enjoy high end bedding & towels. You'll find a fully equipped kitchen to meet your cooking & entertaining needs. Coffee (& sugar & creamer) is provided, or take a short walk to Starbucks just 2 blocks away, or our local favorite - the Roasterie. Cable is provided, including access to 100's of channels & movies (just leave cash if you download a movie to rent). There are also DVDs & board games under the tv for your entertainment. G. Fiber Internet available - the fastest in town. If you're here for work — there’s a desk in the second bedroom, set right under a skylight so you can brainstorm with the clouds and enjoy beautiful natural light during the day. The skylight in this bedroom does not have a cover, so the room will be bright in the mornings — great for early risers :) For ideas on restaurants, night life & KC attractions while you're in town, check out my GUIDEBOOK online - a printed copy is also available in the home.

Other Details to Note

There is plenty of off-street parking in the side lot - able to accommodate a moving van and more than one car if you have it. ACCESS: This is a 3rd floor apartment, accessed through the narrow butlers stairwell. PETS: Cats & Dogs that don't bark are welcome. We must be respectful of the neighbors so cannot have barkers. There is a one-time pet fee - You must clear your pets with me before booking & include your pet on your reservation. PARTIES/GATHERINGS/GUESTS: Kansas City takes gatherings VERY SERIOUSLY. All guests must be pre-approved by host. All guests must leave before 10pm. GUEST VERIFICATION: You may be asked for additional verification THE BUILDING: As noted, the original 4000 sqft house was converted into 4 apartments. Sound does travel as it would in a home - so expect to hear some noise from the apartments below.

Jaymi’s place was a perfect pick for my stay in Kansas City. It was a short walk to the streetcar stop which made it easy to get to the conference center downtown and not have to worry about parking. The apartment looks just like the posted pictures. The decorations are well put together without feeling cluttered. The apartment was easy to find. Jaymi was an excellent host before and during my stay. She offered excellent recommendations for places to explore while I was there and was flexible with when I needed to check in and out. Overall this was a great place to stay. Thank you Jaymi!

We had such a wonderful stay at this absolutely stunning Airbnb! The space is super classy and modern, yet beautifully set inside a historic Kansas City home — the perfect blend of charm and contemporary comfort. The two-bedroom layout was spotless and thoughtfully designed. Every detail felt elevated and welcoming. As a KC native coming home to visit, I really wanted a place that felt special and close to everything, and this was exactly that. The location couldn’t be better; walking distance to the streetcar & amazing restaurants. Close to the art galleries and museums, and it’s just a quick streetcar ride to City Market. We did manage to squeeze in dinner at Jerusalem Cafe, and the food was delicious and authentic. Jaymi is a kind, welcoming, and responsive host. She made everything seamless from booking to check-out. We hope to stay here again in the future. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a stylish yet comfortable stay in the heart of KC!

This has been one of our best stays. Beautifully decorated and a well stocked kitchen! Easily walkable to multiple thrift/vintage stores, restaurants, or you can hop on the tram to go downtown. I’d stay here again and again. Jaymi was a super host!
